Lewes in Bloom awards Beauty Spot for May
Upon arriving in the Lewes area seven years ago, gardeners Jim and Regina Linder’s goal was to establish a perennial pollinator paradise.
They have done just that, and their garden is the Lewes in Bloom Beauty Spot Award winner for May.
The Linders not only provide the plants, but the total environment to support all types of creatures in all seasons. In addition to food sources, they include water and dead or dying plant stems in the fall and winter to provide protection for insects. A member of the Lewes Beekeeping Club, Jim understands the importance of honeybees.
The Linders’ garden will be among those featured on the Lewes Garden Tour Saturday, June 18.
