Lewes in Bloom Children’s Learning Garden prepares for fall

September 23, 2020

It’s time to get ready for fall at the Lewes in Bloom Children’s Learning Garden. Since the children’s summer events were not held this year, the downtime was used to replace some of the raised garden boxes. Recently, produce that was raised and donated to a local charity that supports area families has been replaced with mums, pansies and other fall plants. In addition, a delightful scarecrow now stands guard, along with several decorative birdhouses complete with a couple of resident birds. Lewes in Bloom volunteers on hand to add the finishing touches are (l-r) Betsy Hansot, Nancy Palladino, Cindy DeEmedio, Sue Parks, Nancy Phillips, Fred Phillips, Elaine Matt and Maureen Miller.
