Lewes century plant in its once-in-a-lifetime bloom

Glen Thompson sent in this photograph of a six-foot-tall, 22-year-old century plant blooming in a garden planter at the Senators community in Lewes.

Century plants bloom only once and then die. Their seeds will scatter, starting a new life cycle.
