Lewes Community Garden info sessions to start Feb. 26

The Lewes Community Garden will host information sessions about spring gardening in Lewes and how to request a bed for 2020 at the community garden at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 26; 10 a.m., Saturday, March 14; and 2 p.m., Thursday, March 19, at the Lewes Public Library. These are hour-long meetings plus 20-minute presentations. Master Gardener Linda Peters will conduct the March 19 presentation regarding how to plan a garden. Founded in 2017 by a dedicated group of residents, the Lewes Community Garden’s mission is to create a sustainable community garden in the greater Lewes area by sharing knowledge, experience and friendship. The goal is to provide accessible garden opportunities for those of all ages and abilities. Members use organic practices to maintain the garden, where they learn from each other, grow nutritious food and share with the larger community.

Lewes Community Garden is located on a 0.79-acre plot in Great Marsh Park between the Lewes Unleashed Dog Park and the University of Delaware wind turbine at 366 Park Road.
