Daily drawings to be held March 1-31
February 11, 2021

For the fourth year in a row, Lewes Public Library has launched its popular 31 Chances to Win raffle.

Every day in March, one lucky ticket holder’s name will be drawn to win $100 in gift certificates to local shops and restaurants. Raffle tickets are on sale now and will continue through the end of March. Tickets are $10, three for $25, seven for $50 and 20 for $100. Tickets may be purchased from Lewes Public Library, Lewes Gourmet & Puzzles, and the Lewes Chamber of Commerce.

For details on how to purchase tickets and a list of participating local businesses, go to lewes.lib.de.us or call 302-645-2733 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.

This year, special thanks go to Harry Caswell Inc., Lokken Investment Group, Coldwell Banker Resort Realty and Community Bank of Delaware for underwriting the purchase of gift certificates used for prizes. The more tickets one buys, the better the chances to win. Tickets not drawn will remain in the pot for future drawings. Notices of the daily winners and their gift certificates will be posted on the library website and Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram. Winners may pick up their prizes in the library or have them mailed.

Lewes Public Library is an independent library within the Delaware Division of Libraries consortium. As such, it is only partially funded by state and county taxes. The library must raise about 50 percent of its operating budget each year through fundraisers such as this. Community support helps the library maintain its position as a vital component of the community.
