Lewes Presbyterian Church holds community prayer walk

May 9, 2025

The Lewes Presbyterian Church Evangelism Committee recently held a prayer walk with 14 members making stops around town to pray for local leaders who serve in Lewes, as well as medical and emergency personnel, and the children in the community.

Starting from the church parking lot, participants walked to the police station, praying for the protection the officers provide, the safety and security they offer, and the wisdom they need in emergencies.

Proceeding to town hall next, members prayed for town officials and for wisdom in the decisions they make. At the fire department, attendees prayed for all volunteers, the families and lives they save, and everyone’s safety to and from calls. At Beebe Healthcare, prayers were sent on behalf of all employees, patients and volunteers, asking for wisdom as they take care of those in need. Lewes Elementary School was the last stop, and members prayed for teachers, students and volunteers, as well as those in administration.

Cheryl Morgan said, “We were blessed with a beautiful day as we walked around town praying for our community.”
