This year nearly 1,500 people were served Nov. 23 at Lewes Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Lewes at the 11th annual Thanksgiving dinner and coat giveaway. Community organizations and churches join together each year to provide a free dinner and warm winter coats.
The details: 545 pounds of turkey breast, 220 pies, 180 volunteers, 440 warm coats.
