Lewes Public Library thanks supporters

April 12, 2021

The Lewes Public Library has just finished its fun and exciting 31 Chances To Win fundraiser.  The support of the library’s patrons, who bought almost 2,700 tickets, made for a successful event, netting over $13,500 to help fund the library’s many free programs and services. We would like to thank the many contributors who helped to make this such a great event. Thank you to our Event Sponsors, Harry Caswell Inc., Lokken Investment Group, Coldwell Banker Resort Realty and Community Bank Delaware who generously underwrote the purchase of the gift certificates from our local businesses. Thank you to the businesses that insisted on donating their gift certificates, Aquamarine in Between, Baker Petroleum, Dairy Queen of Lewes, Eggcellent, and Floral Inspirations. Thank you to our off-site ticket sellers, Lewes Gourmet/PUZZLES and the Lewes Chamber of Commerce.  Also thank you to the City of Lewes for putting up and taking down the banner on Savannah Road.

Everyone worked together to make this the best-ever 31 Chances To Win raffle. The Lewes Public Library is an independent library and as such must raise approximately 50 percent of its annual operating budget every year.  Fundraisers, annual appeals and endowment contributions all go toward keeping the the library operating and able to offer the wonderful programs and services the Lewes community has come to expect.
