Lewes-Rehoboth Rotary donates to Clothing Our Kids
The Rotary Club of Lewes-Rehoboth Beach recently presented a $3,000 donation to Clothing Our Kids, which provides new school attire for children in need.
Now in its 11th year, Clothing Our Kids has distributed nearly 183,000 articles of clothing to about 31,000 children, thanks to the community’s continuing support.
Clothing Our Kids continues to fill multiple requests for sneakers and shoes. Watching for sales, Clothing Our Kids purchases shoes at approximately $50 per pair. Giving kids proper clothing like sneakers is a goal that reaps benefits for the youth and the community. Feeling good about how they look makes the students and teachers smile.
In addition to elementary schools, preschools, Head Start programs and family shelters, in 2023 Clothing Our Kids will support all Sussex County middle school youth in need.
