Lewes Yacht Club in its early days

October 3, 2018

Lewes Yacht Club, located at the end of Cedar Street in Lewes, fronts on Delaware Bay, Roosevelt Inlet and the Lewes-Rehoboth Canal. The club focused primarily on sailing and fishing when it first formed in 1932.

In the decades since, the original clubhouse has come down and been replaced by a new facility which hosts many public and private events. The club still focuses on fishing and sailing, but has added a swimming pool and hosts many swim meets during the summer.
