Lewes Fire Department Auxiliary will host its third annual Apple Cider Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, at Station 2 in Nassau, at 32198 Janice Road, Lewes.
Attendees can enjoy apples, apple cider beverages, donuts, ice cream and other treats, along with a vendor market and a petting zoo. Grass Roots Rescue will be on site with adoptable dogs and information about its nonprofit efforts to be a resource for the community and all pet owners.
The Lewes Fire Department will launch its breast cancer awareness campaign, with proceeds from sales of special-design T-shirts and hoodies to benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Contact Marcia at deartlady@gmail.com to purchase items before the festival.
