Linda L. Simcox, co-owned L & L Retro

Linda L. Simcox, 60, of Millsboro, formerly of Delaware County, Pa., passed away surrounded by her loving family Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at Heartland Hospice House in Wilmington.

She was born in Chester, Pa., July 10, 1958, daughter of the late James Oborn Leighton and Irene Patricia (Broughton) Leighton.  She graduated from Marple Newtown Senior High School class of 1976.  

Linda and her companion Larry Lockerman owned and operated L & L Retro which originally was in Dewey Beach, now currently operating in Long Neck.  Linda was a talented tie-dyer, and is part of the Local Ladies of Long Neck social group. 

She will be remembered as a loving and caring woman who always put others first. Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother, and would have done anything for her girls!

Linda is survived by the love of her life, Larry Lockerman; two daughters, Tanya Howe and her husband Richard of Reading, Pa., and Crystal Leighton and her fiancé Andrew Duncan of Albany, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Skylar Irene Howe; a brother, James Leighton of Georgetown; a sister, Cynthia Stinger of Dagsboro; a niece, Samantha Leighton of Dagsboro; three nephews, Artie Martin of Newark,  Tommy Blackiston of Dagsboro and Jesse Stinger of Dagsboro; great-nephews, Trevor Oborn Hudson and Robert Patrick Martin; great-niece Juliana Claire Martin; and her canine companion Tye.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may call after 1 p.m.  Interment will follow at White’s Chapel Cemetery in Milton.
