Local author to sign picture books in Bethany July 16

“Oscar, the Obstinate Osprey” was inspired by a real-life occupant of a platform nest at Massey's Landing.
Bethany Beach Books will host a signing event for Chris Fedorka Tomalin, the author of two children's picture books, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at 99 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach.
“The Nighttime Comes” is a story told by a child who is afraid of the dark. This story can open discussion of nighttime fears with children who are anxious about going to sleep at night.
“Oscar, the Obstinate Osprey” is a very picky eater who learns what it means to be obstinate and how important his nutrition is to his growth The real Oscar resides in a platform nest at Massey's Landing.
