Local cadet completes Coast Guard week for high school students

Sussex Technical High School JROTC cadet Esteban Gonzalez-Chan successfully completed the Academy Introduction Mission at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn.
The intense and rewarding six-day program is designed to help cadets discover whether the academy experience is what they want from college and determine if they have the skills to succeed.
“The rigorous summer AIM program is for high school juniors and is designed to prove them with a six-day structured program to give them a taste of cadet life,” said Guy Rush, Sussex Technical High School Coast Guard JROTC instructor.
