July 10, 2015

JROTC cadets from Cape Henlopen, Sussex Central, Sussex Tech, Wicomico, Appoquinimink and Mount Pleasant high schools attended the five-day 2015 Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge, Camp Vigilance Delaware, June 22-26 at the National Guard Training Site in Bethany Beach.

The cadets also trained and competed in activities at Lewes Beach, the Delaware Air Guard facilities, the Indian River Coast Guard Station, and the Maryland National Guard training center at Gunpowder Falls.

"It was very challenging mentally as well as physically ," said Cape Henlopen cadet Capt. Jenn Stirrup. "I learned that if I couldn't do certain things, that I will always have my cadet teammates there to help me."
