Local Mediacom employees honored

Six local Mediacom employees were presented the company’s top customer service awards during a ceremony held at Mediacom’s Regional Field Operations Center in Dagsboro.

James Hastings of Dagsboro was presented the national gold-level System Technician of the Year Award for his outstanding work as a broadband specialist in the technical operations field. Hastings is one of 37 gold-level award winners across the company and has been employed with Mediacom for 11 years.

Lisa Vanaman of Millsboro earned the region’s Representative of the Year Award for her exemplary work in the Dagsboro payment center. Vanaman is one of 21 regional-level winners across the company and has been employed with Mediacom for 11 years. 

Billy Clark of Selbyville was recognized with the Delaware system’s People’s Choice Award for his work as a broadband specialist in the technical operations field. Clark was honored based on customer satisfaction surveys and has been employed with Mediacom and its predecessor company for 24 years. 

Scott Murray of Dagsboro was presented the Area Operations Employee of the Year Award for his work as a headend specialist where he’s responsible for routine maintenance and technical support for Mediacom networks. Murray has been employed with Mediacom for 19 years.

Carol Marden of Harbeson was recognized with the Delaware system’s People’s Choice Award for her work as a customer service representative. Marden was honored based on customer satisfaction surveys and has been employed with Mediacom for one year. 

Shanna O’Donnell-Mariner of Millsboro earned the Employees’ Choice Award for her excellent work as a customer service representative and was selected through peer evaluation. O’Donnell-Mariner has been employed with Mediacom for four years.
