Milton student named to Simmons dean's list
Joanna Jones of Milton was named to the 2021 fall semester dean's list at Simmons University in Boston. To qualify for dean's list status, undergraduate students must obtain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Lewes woman named to honor society at Nova Southeastern
Dawnn Thomas of Lewes was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Thomas was initiated at Nova Southeastern University.
Lewes woman named to Fairleigh Dickinson dean’s list
Erin Kay of Lewes, a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Florham Campus in Madison, N.J., was named to the honor list for the fall 2021 semester. To qualify, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0.
Local students honored at Western Governors
Western Governors University gives awards of excellence to students who perform at a superior level in their coursework. Local students honored are Laura Marcu, Jennifer Maxwell and Kylie Powell, all of Lewes. All are students in the university’s college of health professions.
Local students named to RIT dean’s list
Two local residents made the dean's list at Rochester Institute of Technology for the fall 2021 semester. Honorees are J.T. Blake of Lewes, who is in the film and animation program, and Ethan Wolman of Lewes, who is in the computing security program. To be eligible, a student’s GPA must be 3.4 or above.

Rehoboth student named to Delaware Tech president’s list
In recognition of exceptional academic performance in 2021, Tamia Bonville, a marketing major from Rehoboth Beach, was named to the president's list at Delaware Technical Community College for the fall 2021 semester. To qualify, a student must have a minimum term GPA of 3.8.

The University of Hartford announced Kristyn Grasso of Milton has been named to the president's honors list and the dean's list for fall 2021.
Lewes student named to Frostburg State dean’s list
Sydney Green of Lewes has been named to the dean's list at Frostburg State University for outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2021 semester, with the distinction of having earned a 4.0 grade point average.
Lewes resident achieves dean’s list at Florida Tech
Devon Warner of Lewes has been named to the fall 2021 dean's list at Florida Institute of Technology. To be included, a student must achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 for the term.
Georgetown resident named to dean’s list at Dickinson
Jezzelle Repalbor, a sophomore English major at Dickinson College, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2021 semester. A graduate of Sussex Academy, she is the daughter of Jesselyn Hare of Georgetown. To be eligible, students must have a grade-point average of 3.7 or above for the semester.
Locals named to William & Mary dean's list
The College of William & Mary announced two local students were named to its fall 2021 dean’s list. They are Caroline Donovan of Lewes and Ankita Mohan of Rehoboth Beach. To be eligible a sutdent must achieve at least a 3.6 GPA.
Susquehanna names local students to dean’s list
Susquehanna University announced local students who were named to the dean's list for the fall 2021 semester. They are Sarah Bennett of Lewes, a music education major and Class of 2022 member; Caitlin Milliken of Milton, a biology major and Class of 2024 member; and Taylor Lampron of Lewes, a creative writing major and Class of 2025 member. The dean's list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
Lewes resident named to Wisconsin dean’s list
The University of Wisconsin-Madison announced that Olivia Stack of Lewes, a student in the school of business, was named to its fall 2021 dean’s list.
James Madison names local students to dean’s list
James Madison University announced local students who made the dean's list for the fall 2021 semester by earning a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Honorees are Julia LaFave of Lewes, a media arts and design major, and Kennedy Humes of Rehoboth Beach, a communication sciences and disorders major.
Lewes student named to dean’s list at Miami of Ohio
Tommy Daigler of Lewes was named to the dean's list at Miami University of Ohio for the 2021 fall semester. Daigle is studying for a bachelor of science degree in education and a bachelor of arts in integrated science education, physics. Miami University students who are ranked in the top 20 percent of undergraduate students within their division for the fall semester have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic performance.
Local college students named to Alvernia dean’s list
Alvernia University announced the following local students were named to its fall 2021 dean’s list. They are Tyzhir Morris of Millsboro, enrolled in the PreK4 with special education program; Luke Wetzel of Millsboro, enrolled in the sport management program; and Gianna DeGregory of Lewes, enrolled in the nursing program. To be eligible, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better.
Local student named to Hartwick dean’s list
Hartwick College announced that Sam Alex Goldfarb of Rehoboth Beach was named to its dean’s list for the fall 2021 semester. Inclusion on the dean’s list is an indication of excellent academic work including a GPA of at least 3.5.
Lewes woman named to Shippensburg dean’s list
Shippensburg University announced that Jody Boyer of Lewes has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2021 semester. Boyer is majoring in finance with the Grove College of Business at Shippensburg.
Millsboro woman named to Berry College dean’s list
Megan Wilson of Millsboro was named to the fall 2021 dean's list at Berry College in Rome, Ga. The dean's list honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or higher.
Lewes students honored at Coastal Carolina
Coastal Carolina University announced its fall 2021 semester president’s list included Bella Myers, a theater major from Lewes. Its fall dean’s list included Haley Schnupp, an elementary education major from Lewes.

Tess Burke of Lewes was named to Montclair State University's fall 2021 dean's list. Burke is an anthropology major. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Sebastian Turman, a sophomore biblical studies major from Milton, was among some 660 Bob Jones University students named to the fall 2021 president's list, recognizing students who earn a 3.75 or higher grade point average.
Millsboro man named to Emerson dean's list
Michael Santostefano of Millsboro was named to Emerson College's dean's list for the fall 2021 semester, having achieved a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for the semester. Santostefano is majoring in journalism and is a member of the class of 2024.

Southern New Hampshire University announced local students named to its fall 2021 president's list for earning a minimum grade-point average of 3.7 or higher. They are April Taylor of Millsboro, Eric Thens of Millsboro and Danielle David of Milton.

Erin Eason of Millsboro was named to the College of the Holy Cross fall 2021 dean's list for earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher. A member of the class of 2023, Eason is majoring in chemistry.

LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas, announced that Jeremy Carpenter, a mechanical engineering student from Milton, was named to its fall 2021 president’s list which recognizes students who have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester.

Lebanon Valley College announced local students named to its fall 2021 dean's list, which recognizes students who maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0. A Sussex Tech High School graduate, Rylee Shockley of Millsboro is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. A graduate of Susquehannock High School, Desiree Tomswitmer of Millsboro is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in exercise science. A graduate of Sussex Central High School, Penn Smith of Millsboro is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in mathematics and physics.

Local students named to Salisbury University dean’s list
Salisbury University announced local students Ben Ashby and Elizabeth Jensen of Lewes; Julia Hollenbeck, Abigail Johnson, Christopher Lombardi, Faith McCarty, William Perkins, Elena Quixtan-Mendoza, Melanie Williams and Ivy Wilson of Millsboro; and Sean Clendaniel, Maci Long, Lily Smith and McKinsey Zepp of Milton were named to its spring 2021 dean's list.
To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours of letter-graded coursework during the semester.
Emerson honors Caitlin Hudecheck of Lewes
Emerson College announced that Caitlin Hudecheck of Lewes received the Stage and Production Management Award from the Performing Arts Department. Hudecheck earned a degree in stage and production management.
Ella Marsh of Lewes inducted Into Phi Beta Kappa at Hofstra
Hofstra University announced Ella Marsh of Lewes is one of its 40 students inducted into Phi Beta Kappa May 6. Marsh is majoring in philosophy at Hofstra. Phi Beta Kappa is considered America's most prestigious honor society, with the top 10 percent of liberal arts and science graduates invited to join. There are fewer than 300 chapters in the U.S.
Lewes woman named to dean’s list at DeSales University
Nursing major Erin Coverdale of Lewes was recently named to the dean’s list for the spring 2021 session at DeSales University. To qualify, a student must have a minimum 3.50 GPA.

Redefer is majoring in journalism and is a member of the Class of 2022. The requirement to make Emerson's dean's list is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

Erin Eason of Millsboro was named to the College of the Holy Cross spring 2021 dean's list. A member of the Class of 2023, Eason is majoring in chemistry. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Susquehanna University announced two local students were named to its dean's list for achieving a grade point average of 3.4 or higher.
Sarah Bennett of Lewes is a music education major in the Class of 2022 and a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School.

University of Sciences honors area students
The University of the Sciences named two local students to its dean’s list for attaining an academic average of at least 3.4. Honorees are Nikita Patel of Lewes and Samantha Streckfuss, also of Lewes.

Hannah Kaan of Millsboro has been placed on the Gettysburg College dean's honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the spring 2021 semester with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher.
Nicholas Barrish of Milton was on the Gettysburg dean’s commendation list for outstanding academic achievement in the spring 2021 semester for an average in the range of 3.3 to 3.599.

With an academic grade point average of 4.0, Madison Nickel of Millsboro was named to the president’s list.
With academic records of 3.5 or above, Sydney Boright and Domenico Santo, both of Lewes, were named to the dean’s list.
Lewes man named to Widener dean’s list

University of Findlay honors Millsboro student
University of Findlay has named Thea Knapp of Millsboro an Outstanding Student in Foreign Languages in the study of Japanese. Knapp also recently participated in the University of Findlay's 2021 Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity for students to virtually share their research, and professional learning experiences with the university and community.
