Local students honored for fall 2020 semester

Local students earn Cedar Crest honors

Cedar Crest College announced its fall 2020 dean's list of students who have earned a grade point average of 3.65 or higher in the academic semester. Local students honored include Autumn Reynolds of Lewes and Jade Shomper of Rehoboth Beach.

Miller named to dean’s list at Palmer College 

Devin Miller of Millsboro has been named to the fall 2020 quarter dean's list at Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Millsboro resident earns Findlay dean’s list

Thea Knapp of Millsboro has been named to the fall 2020 dean's list at the University of Findlay. To earn this achievement, a student must attain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Bethel woman named to Centenary dean’s list

Centenary University announced Hanna Ceppaluni of Bethel was named to its dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, full-time Centenary students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.8 or above and complete a minimum of 12 semester credits.

Lewes student named to Hofstra dean’s list 

Ella Marsh of Lewes excelled during the fall 2020 semester, achieving a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of 4 to earn a spot on the Hofstra University dean’s list.

Lewes student named to Frostburg dean's list

Cameron Baldwin of Lewes has been named to the dean's list at Frostburg State University for the spring 2020 semester. To be eligible, a student must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a cumulative semester grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Millsboro man graduates from Georgia Institute of Technology

Trevor Beachboard of Millsboro graduated with a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Beachboard earned his degree with honors.

Local students named to William & Mary dean's list

William & Mary announced its dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester, which includes local students Hannah Lowe and Caroline Donovan, both of Lewes, and Madeleine Moore of Millsboro. To qualify, a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate student must take at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 grade-point average during the semester. 

Millsboro man named to Alvernia dean’s list

Tyzhir Morris of Millsboro has been named to Alvernia University's dean's list for the fall 2020 semester. To be eligible, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Local students make Gettysburg College dean’s list

Gettysburg College announced local students Nicholas Barrish of Milton and Hannah Kaan of Millsboro were named to its dean’s honor list for students whose semester averages were 3.6 or above.  Alec Shalk of Milton made the dean’s commendation list for students who achieve grades in the range of 3.3 to 3.599 for a semester.

Lewes man graduates from Midwestern State

Midwestern State University announced Jordan Christopher Blankenship of Lewes graduated in December 2020 with a bachelor of science degree in respiratory care.

Local students earn Lebanon Valley honors

Lebanon Valley College announced its dean's list for the fall 2020 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0. Local students named to the list include Benjamin Weathersby of Rehoboth Beach, a Cape graduate pursuing a bachelor of science degree in digital communications; Andrew Tung of Millsboro, a Sussex Central graduate pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in economics; and Kirstyn McNamara of Milton, a Sussex Tech graduate pursuing a bachelor of science degree in exercise science.

Lewes resident named to Kutztown dean's list

Kutztown University announced freshman Abigail Hearn of Lewes was named to its fall 2020 dean’s list. To be eligible, an undergraduate student must be registered for at least 12 credits and have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.

Local students named to Immaculata University dean's list

Immaculata University has announced the students named to its fall dean’s list. Local honorees include Laura Markofski of Lewes, Alyssa Claycomb and Helen Orth of Magnolia, and Rachel Tuttle of Selbyville.

Lewes student named to DeSales dean’s list

DeSales University announced that Lewes resident Erin Coverdale was named to its fall dean’s list. To qualify, students must have a minimum 3.50 GPA on no fewer than 12 credit hours.

Rehoboth Beach students named to Bucknell dean’s list

Bucknell University announced that Rehoboth Beach residents Tom Golden, class of 2021, and Liza Moore, class of 2024, have been named to its fall dean’s list. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean's list recognition.

Millsboro student named to University of Kentucky dean's list

English major Jemini McCloskey of Millsboro was named to the fall 2020 University of Kentucky College of Arts and Sciences dean's list. Students on the dean's list earned 12 or more credit hours as letter grades with a minimum 3.60 GPA for the semester.

Millsboro student earns McDaniel dean's list

McDaniel College announced that Sarah Aleman of Millsboro has been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to its fall 2020 dean's list with honors for a grade point average of 3.70-3.89.

Lewes student receives Misericordia honors

Misericordia University announced Jared Kay of Lewes was named to its dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester. Students qualify for the dean's list with a 3.55 grade point average or higher.

Milton resident named to president's list at Bob Jones University

Sebastian Turman, a freshman biblical studies major from Milton, was among some 600 Bob Jones University students named to the fall 2020 president's list, which recognizes students who earn a 3.75 or higher grade point average for the semester.

Rehoboth Beach students achieve president’s list

For achieving a 4.0 grade point average for the fall semester, Cape graduate Will Geppert of Rehoboth was named to the president’s list at Widener University. He is a junior majoring in biology and minoring in environmental studies. Also with a 4.0 GPA, Cape graduate Marlee Geppert was named to the president’s list at Queen’s University of Charlotte. She is majoring in nursing. Their proud parents are Molli and Bill Geppert.
