Lewes students earn dean's list
The University of the Sciences announced its fall 2020 dean's list. Selection is based on passing all assigned courses with no grade below a C and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4. Nikita Patel of Lewes and Samantha Streckfuss of Lewes were named to the dean’s list.
Millsboro student named to Gettysburg dean’s list
Gettysburg College announced Hannah Kaan of Millsboro was named to its dean's honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the fall 2020 semester. Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher are eligible.
Milton resident named to Simmons dean’s list
Joanna Jones of Milton earned the 2020 fall semester dean’s list at Simmons University in Boston. To qualify, students must obtain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Local residents earn degrees from Western Governors
Western Governors University announced Jasmine Manley of Milton received a master of education degree in learning and technology. Helena Angelo of Milton received a bachelor of science degree in business concentrating in human resources management.
Local students named to Emerson dean's list
Emerson College announced Caitlin Hudecheck of Lewes and Kathryn Redefer of Rehoboth Beach were named to its dean's list for the fall 2020 semester. The requirement to make dean's list is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester. Hudecheck is a stage and production management major in the class of 2021. Redefer is a journalism major in the class of 2021.
Millsboro woman earns master’s degree from Concordia
Anna Fritz of Millsboro earned a master of education degree in fall 2020 from Concordia University in Nebraska.
Lewes woman earns doctorate from Georgia State
Megan Piorko of Lewes graduated from Georgia State University during the fall 2020 semester, earning a doctor of philosophy degree with a major in history.
Milton woman graduates from Saint Michael’s College
Bethany Theresa Schlott of Milton graduated in December from Saint Michael's College with a bachelor of science degree summa cum laude in business administration.

Brittany Dundas of Millsboro earned her bachelor of arts degree in communication studies from Grove City College in December.
Local students honored at University of Alabama
The University of Alabama announced its dean’s list for students with academic records of 3.5 or above and its president's list with academic records of 4.0. Sydney Boright of Lewes was named to the president’s list. Domenico Santo of Lewes and Madison Nickel of Millsboro were named to the dean’s list.
Local students named to Susquehanna dean’s list
Susquehanna University congratulates the following local dean's list students who achieved a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. Caitlin Milliken of Milton is a biology major in the Class of 2024 and a graduate of Delmarva Christian High School. Sarah Bennett of Lewes is a music education major in the Class of 2022 and a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School. Brittany Ritter of Millsboro made the dean's list for the fall 2020 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.
Rehoboth student makes University of Tampa dean’s list
Marna Stillman of Rehoboth Beach earned dean's list honors at the University of Tampa for the fall 2020 semester. Stillman is a junior majoring in psychology. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean's list.
Millboro woman named to College of the Holy Cross dean’s list
Erin Eason of Millsboro was named to the fall dean’s list at the College of the Holy Cross. A member of the Class of 2023, Eason is majoring in chemistry. To qualify, students must pass four or more letter-graded courses with no failing grades during the semester and earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
Rehoboth Beach student named to James Madison dean's list
James Madison University student Kennedy Humes of Rehoboth Beach has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2020 semester. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.
Millsboro woman honored for academic excellence at Weber State
Weber State University awarded Jessica Krok of Millsboro with the honor of academic excellence for the fall 2020 semester. The honor goes to students who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Rehoboth man named to dean's list at York College
Zachary Beard of Rehoboth Beach, a junior political science major at York College of Pennsylvania, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2020 semester. To be eligible, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Indiana University of Pennsylvania names graduates
Rehoboth Beach resident Tracy J. Sullivan has completed requirements for graduation with a doctorate of education in school psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania as of December 2020 and January 2021.
Rehoboth student honored at Cedar Crest College
Cedar Crest College announced Jade Shomper of Rehoboth Beach was inducted into the Delphi Society for the fall 2020 semester in recognition of outstanding academic achievements. Delphi is the college's honor society for undergraduate students. Students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 or higher at the end of their junior or senior year are recognized as members.
Local students named to Widener dean's list
Widener University announced its dean's list for fall 2020. Local full-time students who earned a grade point average of 3.50 and above for the semester included communications and marketing major Benjamin Rothstein of Lewes and biology major William Geppert of Rehoboth Beach.
Local students named to dean's list at RIT
Rochester Institute of Technology announced its dean’s list for the 2020 fall semester. Local students earning recognition are Nevada Scott of Millsboro, who is in the medical illustration program, and J.T. Blake of Lewes, who is in the film and animation program.

Millsboro student earns Rhode Island dean’s list
The University of Rhode Island announced McKenna O'Donnell of Millsboro was named to its fall 2020 dean's list. To be included on the dean's list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.
Local student named to Dickinson dean’s list
Natalie Ginez, a senior archaeology major at Dickinson College, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2020 semester. She is the daughter of Andres and Gwendolyn Ginez of Lewes.

Roger Williams University announced that Olivia Wilks-McLaughlin of Rehoboth Beach was named to its fall 2020 dean's list. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester with a grade point average of 3.4 or higher earn dean's honors.

Centenary University announced Hanna Ceppaluni of Bethel was named to its dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester. To be named to the dean’s list, full-time Centenary students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.8 or above and complete a minimum of 12 semester credits.
Lewes student named to Hofstra dean’s list
Ella Marsh of Lewes excelled during the fall 2020 semester, achieving a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of 4 to earn a spot on the Hofstra University dean’s list.

William & Mary announced its dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester, which includes local students Hannah Lowe and Caroline Donovan, both of Lewes, and Madeleine Moore of Millsboro. To qualify, a full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate student must take at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 grade-point average during the semester.

Tyzhir Morris of Millsboro has been named to Alvernia University's dean's list for the fall 2020 semester. To be eligible, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Gettysburg College announced local students Nicholas Barrish of Milton and Hannah Kaan of Millsboro were named to its dean’s honor list for students whose semester averages were 3.6 or above. Alec Shalk of Milton made the dean’s commendation list for students who achieve grades in the range of 3.3 to 3.599 for a semester.

Midwestern State University announced Jordan Christopher Blankenship of Lewes graduated in December 2020 with a bachelor of science degree in respiratory care.
Local students earn Lebanon Valley honors
Lebanon Valley College announced its dean's list for the fall 2020 semester. Dean's list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0. Local students named to the list include Benjamin Weathersby of Rehoboth Beach, a Cape graduate pursuing a bachelor of science degree in digital communications; Andrew Tung of Millsboro, a Sussex Central graduate pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in economics; and Kirstyn McNamara of Milton, a Sussex Tech graduate pursuing a bachelor of science degree in exercise science.

Milton resident named to president's list at Bob Jones University
Sebastian Turman, a freshman biblical studies major from Milton, was among some 600 Bob Jones University students named to the fall 2020 president's list, which recognizes students who earn a 3.75 or higher grade point average for the semester.
Rehoboth Beach students achieve president’s list
For achieving a 4.0 grade point average for the fall semester, Cape graduate Will Geppert of Rehoboth was named to the president’s list at Widener University. He is a junior majoring in biology and minoring in environmental studies. Also with a 4.0 GPA, Cape graduate Marlee Geppert was named to the president’s list at Queen’s University of Charlotte. She is majoring in nursing. Their proud parents are Molli and Bill Geppert.
