Low-cost wellness and pet vaccination clinic set Aug. 24

Humane Animal Partners will host a low-cost vaccination clinic open to the public from 12 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, at its Midway center, 18675 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach.

Pet owners can receive the following low-cost services and products for their cats and dogs: Rabies vaccination, $25 each; DHPP (canine distemper) vaccination, $20 each; FVRCP (feline distemper) vaccination, $20 each; Bordetella vaccinations (dogs only), $20 each; microchips (permanent identification for pet/owner reunion), $25 each; general dewormer (two doses, with second sent home for pet owner to administer at a later date), $10.

Clinics are first-come, first-served. Cash and debit/credit cards are the preferred form of payment. Cats must be in hard plastic or cardboard carriers, and dogs must be wearing a collar and non-retractable leash. If a dog requires muzzling for veterinary care, owners must bring a properly fitted muzzle and place it on their pet prior to arrival.  The pet’s most recent previous rabies certificate with veterinarian’s signature or stamp must be presented to receive a 3-year rabies vaccination.
