Lucien Thomas Lenhart Jr., had banking career

Lucien Thomas Lenhart Jr., 75, of Middletown, formerly of Millsboro, passed away in the care of Christiana Hospital in Newark, Wednesday, April 24, 2019.  He was born in 1944 in Milford to the late Lucien T. Sr. and Ruth Lawson Lenhart. 

Mr. Lenhart attended the Episcopal Church, and had a long career in the banking industry.  He worked as a computer programmer.  He married Sandra Tung, and together they raised a son.  He loved building and flying model airplanes, and also enjoyed fishing, loved reading, and particularly enjoyed reading history.  He was very dedicated to family, and served in the Delaware National Guard.  Everyone knew him as a patient, easygoing man, and his family appreciated what a wonderful dad he was.  He also loved a good meal.

Lucien is survived by his wife, Sandra and his son, Lucien III (Kristin) of West Layfayette, Ind.; his grandchildren: Benjamin, Samuel and Miles.  Also surviving are his sister, Aleta Esham (William) of Millsboro; and his special friends and cousins, Donna Owens and Mona Wyatt.

A time of viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, May 7, from 11:30 a.m. till noon, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Millsboro, with a funeral service conducted at noon.  The Rev. David Archibald will officiate.  Interment follows in Millsboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
