Macha is right person at right time for Rehoboth

July 19, 2024

I am pleased to support and endorse Rachel Macha’s candidacy for the upcoming election to the Rehoboth Beach Board of Commissioners.

I have known Rachel and her family for many years and had the privilege of serving with her as a commissioner on the planning board from 2019-22. During that period, we worked together on reviewing and approving zoning and development applications. Notably, we collaborated on writing the comprehensive development plan for the City of Rehoboth Beach for the 10-year period from 2020-30. This state-mandated document outlines the city’s goals and policies regarding future growth and resource management.

Throughout this process, I observed firsthand the hard work, attention to detail and wise counsel Rachel contributed to the collaborative production of the CDP. Her business background and extensive knowledge as a long-term resident and property owner were invaluable in guiding and developing the plan.

We need to change the direction and policies currently pursued by our mayor and commissioners. As the old saying goes, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity or, in this case, mismanagement of our resources. Rachel is the right person at the right time to initiate change so that our commissioners begin to listen to the voters and prioritize what is best for Rehoboth Beach.

Rachel Macha’s candidacy represents a positive step toward better governance and a brighter future for our city. I strongly urge you to support her in the upcoming election.
