Now that spring is here, Ogre's Grove in Milton is branching out to feature local artists' work on the walls. First up is Madison Griffin of Fenwick Island. She is graduating from Delaware Technical Community College soon and plans to continue her fine art education at Salisbury University. Her goal in life is to make a living by creating, no matter what the medium may be.
Many of the original paintings in this exhibit, such as "Deep Sea Creatures," are created with acrylics. Griffin likes using acrylic paint because it dries very quickly. However, that can make blending colors a challenge, so she adds a slow-drying paint medium to any parts of the piece she wants to blend exceptionally well.
Prints and buttons of her digital art, such as "Mirror Mirror," are also available at the comic and collectible shop through April.
Ogre's Grove is at 129 Union St., in the historic house next to the Milton library. For more information, go to www.OgresGrove.com.
