Man charged in theft of employee backpack on Baltimore Avenue

Rehoboth Beach police charged a Virginia man, 51, in connection with stealing an employee backpack July 29 from a Baltimore Avenue business.

Police said the theft happened about 12:14 p.m. when the man entered a business in the ocean block and took the backpack. The man was charged with misdemeanor theft under $1,500, and released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
