A Millsboro man, 60, died Feb. 11, following a single-car crash on Legion Road.
Police said the man was driving an Audi A4 at 11:50 p.m. southbound on Legion Road when he failed to negotiate a sharp left curve near Buttercream Hills, a private driveway.
Police said the car drove off the west edge of the roadway before striking a concrete culvert pipe, which launched the car into the air causing it to overturn. The car then struck a row of trees. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, police said, and he was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his name is being withheld until his family is notified.
Troopers ask anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Sgt. A. Mitchell at 302-703-3269; send a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police; or contact Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
