Marie T. Bowler, 90, of Rehoboth Beach passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late Frank and Ann (Keenan) Good.
Mrs. Bowler retired to Rehoboth Beach in 1992. She attended St. Jude the Apostle Church, where she served as extraordinary minister of the Eucharist at Mass and to the sick, belonged to the Columbiettes organization and served on the welcoming committee of the parish. Mrs. Bowler was also a volunteer in the emergency room for Beebe Medical Center for five years. Above all, she enjoyed time spent with those she held most dear. Mrs. Bowler was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, William Francis Bowler in 2020. Mrs. Bowler is survived by her daughter, Donna Marie Pappagianis of Lewes; her sons: Daniel Bowler of Rehoboth Beach, and Bill Bowler (Diane) of Sewell, N.J.; her grandchildren, Anthony (Celia), Helena (Billy), Gianna (Drew) and Janae (Chris); and her great-grandchildren, Josephine, Rory, Ophelia and Roman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for both William and Marie Bowler at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 10, at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Private interment will be held at a later date at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing protocols and the use of masks are strongly advised.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958.
