Mark R. Kichline, family man, motorcycle enthusiast
Mark R. Kichline, beloved husband, dad, grandfather, jokester, and all-around good-time guy, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at his home in Millsboro with his lovely wife and his son by his side.
Born June 20, 1955, in Easton, Pa., Mark was a graduate of Easton Area High School and West Chester University. He met the love of his life, Kim, while bartending at the Farmer in the Dell Restaurant in West Chester. They married in 1983 and built a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories while raising their two children.
In 1993, Mark and his family settled in Gap, Pa., where they spent 27 wonderful years before eventually relocating to the sunny beaches of Delaware, a move Mark embraced wholeheartedly. A hardworking entrepreneur, he owned and operated Reliable Telephone Service, installing telephone systems throughout Lancaster and Chester counties, and earning the respect and friendship of countless customers along the way.
Anyone who knew Mark instantly appreciated his quick wit, infectious laugh, and his belief that life should feel like one big party. He had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and classic cars, and could often be found in his garage happily tinkering on either. Mark was a devoted dad who loved cheering on his kids at their sporting events and was an active member of the American Legion, AMVETS, and VFWs in the Lancaster and Long Neck areas.
Mark packed an incredible amount of joy into his 70 years. He will be deeply missed for his endless “dad jokes,” the way he laughed with his whole body, and the unmistakable crinkle in his eyes whenever he smiled.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly (Raum) Kichline; his daughter, Stephanie DeMalto (Nicholas); his son, Jason “Jazz” Kichline (Brooke Brandon); his cherished grandsons, Owen and Brody DeMalto; his siblings, Dale Kichline, Colleen Geiger, Cindy Rosa and Scott Kichline; many nieces and nephews he adored; his loyal rescue pup, Sammy, who will sorely miss their tireless tug-of-war games; and far too many friends to count. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Carolyn Kichline of Easton, Pa.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
