Maryann B. (Lavelle) Rash, human resources retiree
Maryann B. Rash, 68, of Milton passed away peacefully at home Monday, June 21, 2021. Maryann was born in Philadelphia, Pa., daughter of the late John F. and Bessie (Cirelli) Lavelle.
She resided for many years in the suburb of Lawndale, Pa. Maryann graduated in 1970 from Cardinal Dougherty High School and studied human resources at Villanova University. She worked in the human resources field for many years at Chancellor Park Retirement Community, Philadelphia Protestant Home and Masonic Home. In 2010, Maryann moved to Milton, where she enjoyed her retirement and loved being an active member of the Lewes Senior Center, YMCA pool in Rehoboth Beach, and American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro.
In addition to her parents, Maryann is preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Rash.
Maryann is survived by her three children, Walt Rash and Amber, Joseph Rash and Shari, and Theresa Monaghan and Robert III; seven grandchildren, Robert IV, Isabella and William Monaghan, Olivia, Lola, Annabelle and Joseph Rash; five siblings, Felicity T. Lavelle, Francis Lavelle, John Lavelle, Sally Harkins and Lita Harvey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
There are no formal services scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Maryann’s memory are welcome to Fox Chase Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Advancement, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
