Maternally Yours lactation consultants join Atracare

October 18, 2022

In its mission to expand healthcare to families and individuals of Sussex County, Atracare announces its merger with Maternally Yours, operated by Jenn Blush, RN, IBCLC, and Kim Emerick, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, FNP-C, IBCLC, CEN.

Atracare is known for its award-winning pediatric department and postpartum wellness program. Incorporating lactation consulting will now position Atracare as the most comprehensive provider of care for families.

Maternally Yours LLC has been providing lactation consulting services to the lower Delaware and surrounding Maryland area since 2021. Because there is no other outpatient lactation consulting in the area, Blush and Emerick developed the company, combining both their passion for serving the community and making new families feel more confident in their journeys.

Blush and Emerick take pride in making all mothers feel empowered when breastfeeding. Their approach is non-judgmental, compassionate and customized, recognizing a one-size-fits-all approach does not define success. Together with Atracare, Blush and Emerick will be able to reach even more families prenatally and postpartum, setting them up for a successful breastfeeding experience.

A devoted wife and mother of two, Blush is an experienced labor and delivery/postpartum RN, passionate about supporting families on their parenting journey. A native to Delaware, she knows the importance of community. Her knowledge and care help families navigate the challenges in the first few months of their newborn's life. As a mother herself, she understands the importance of judgment-free support.

Emerick became passionate about helping new moms overcome their breastfeeding struggles after facing her own challenges with her daughter. Her particular interest areas are helping to overcome breastfeeding difficulties with tongue and lip ties, improving a painful latch, and making mothers feel confident however they decide to feed their babies.
