The Marine Education Research and Rehabilitation Institute held its annual Finraiser Nov. 17 at Salero Restaurant, atop the Henlopen Hotel in Rehoboth Beach.
As guests looked out over the Atlantic Ocean, the event featured more than 100 auction items from area businesses, including dinners, one-of-a-kind artisans’ wares, fair trade products, catered sailing excursions, hotel stays, vacation packages, golf outings, artwork, jewelry and gift certificates to local stores and restaurants.
All proceeds from the event go toward the nonprofit organization’s efforts in marine mammal and sea turtle rescue. For more information on the MERR Institute, call 302-228-5029 or go to merrinstitute.org.
