Metal-stamped earring class set March 18

March 11, 2023

Back by popular demand, Milton Arts Guild will offer its metal-stamped earring class in which students will design and produce their own unique earrings set.

Metalwork artist Jeanne Steck will demonstrate the elements of pounding metal with hammers, followed by students practicing the stamp techniques and creating their own jewelry. The class will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at 310 Walnut St., Milton.

All materials, including a variety of copper shapes and sterling silver ear wires, will be provided.

Steck uses traditional metalsmith techniques to transform sterling silver and copper into wearable art. She also hand-knots stunning pearls and handpicked gemstones as part of her jewelry collection. A newcomer to southern Delaware, Steck is the former president of Wake Forest Guild of Artists and was on the board of Arts Wake Forest in North Carolina.

The class costs $58. To register, go to miltonartsguild.org.
