Michael Graham Stadtler Sr., retired banker

Michael Graham Stadtler Sr., better known as Mike, beloved father and grandfather, peacefully passed away after a hard-fought battle with renal cancer Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024. Mike was born in Washington, D.C., Sept. 4, 1948, and spent his career as a banker in the Baltimore, Md. area before retiring to Rehoboth Beach.

Michael is survived by his children, Jennifer M. Stadtler (daughter), Michael G. Stadtler Jr. (son) and wife Monica Stadtler, and Tracey Turner (stepdaughter); grandchildren, Ruby J. Davis, Michael G. Stadtler III, Julia C. Stadtler, Meghan Brown, Melanie Brown, Jack Ragone and Paul Ragone; and brother, John W. Stadtler Jr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda A. Stadtler; parents, John W. Stadtler Sr. and Katherine E. Stadtler; and sister-in-law, Ann Marie C. Stadtler, DNP, RC, CPNP.

Mike attended church every morning, followed by a long walk on the Rehoboth Boardwalk, occasionally grabbing a hotdog from Gus & Gus. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards with his buddies at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club clubhouse, as well as the occasional trip to Dover Downs. Mike never missed a birthday, graduation, sports event, or other important milestones for those he held close to his heart.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 8, at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 401 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Interment will follow services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 32112 Vines Creek Road, Dagsboro.
