Milford band PowerSeeker is out of this world
Local original music act PowerSeeker has been moving quickly under the radar. While the normal hustle and bustle of downtown Milford has kept everyone distracted, the band released a video, announced two upcoming shows and has been readying a CD for release.
The band, made up of members from Delaware and New Jersey, first crash-landed in Milford in 2019. The lockdown quickly diminished all hopes of escaping Earth. After performing some scattered shows in Wilmington, the group’s shining star was quickly extinguished.
That was until the supergroup of alien heavy metal heroes was awakened again by the explosion of Elon Musk’s SpaceX rocket.
“Everyone thought it was a horrible miscalculation, but it was actually a precise EMP ignited to cause a ripple through time and space to awaken the PowerSeeker,” said Krustacious VonSlayer, lead singer.
Guitar player and resident time traveler Milachi Crunch said he was happily 6 years old again watching “Happy Days” in 1976 when the explosion went off and rudely yanked him out of his alternate universe back to 2023 where he was once again an interplanetary assassin. “Elon knew that the threat from artificial intelligence was imminent. He knew he couldn’t fight it alone, so he sent out a signal to awaken us,” said Crunch.
Also joining the PowerSeeker ranks this time are drummer SFA (Steve from Accounting) and the man-mountain bass player Odørzar Slaÿkőff.
PowerSeeker can be seen at the Fordhamfest, set for 3 to 10 p.m., Saturday, July 29, at Fordham & Dominion Brewery in Dover, and during the 1CW professional wrestling event that starts at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Houston Volunteer Fire Department.
