Milton Art Walk to welcome visitors Oct. 11

October 2, 2025

Milton Arts Guild will hold its Seventh Annual Art Walk from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, featuring 31 artists on 26 porches throughout downtown Milton.

The public can stroll the route to view and purchase works from artists who work in a wide range of media and from a wide range of perspectives.

Event maps will be available in the Milton Arts Guild gallery at 107 Federal St.

“Art Walk has historically been our most popular event of the year,” said Sue Dutton, MAG board of directors president. “The variety of artwork, coupled with the camaraderie of the day, makes it a special event for both our artists and our visitors.”

This year’s event has expanded to include porches on Broad Street and Lavinia Street, in addition to the porches in the Puddin’ Hill neighborhood, including Chestnut, Mill, Coulter, Walnut and Collins streets.

For the second year, Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant will generously display art in its front windows, including works from residents of Pallet Village, a transitional housing community in Georgetown where Milton Arts Guild participates in weekly art nights. Also on display will be an encore showing of Still Blooming: A Senior Art Exhibit, with works by CHEER Center artists throughout Sussex County curated by MAG member Phoebe Canakis.

Special artistic touches throughout downtown Milton will include artists en plein air painting a quintessential Milton scene; an interactive, real-time, multi-canvas art piece created by several artists simultaneously; and a MAG sketch artist creating work in real time.

Inside MAG’s Federal Street gallery, the exhibit A Plethora of Color will adorn the walls; children will be encouraged to create their own art at a kids’ table; and an array of 8X8 canvases will be on display and for sale.

Milton Main Street will also feature a display of Broadkill River-themed oars painted by students from Milton Elementary and H.O. Brittingham elementary schools, plus two river-scene sails painted by Milton Arts Guild artists.
