The Milton Arts Guild is showcasing the talents of Cape Henlopen High School artists in an exhibit that runs through Saturday, March 30.
All work is by students of Cape visual arts teacher James Rubeck.
In this judged show, cash and ribbon awards were presented at the opening reception.
Junior Kaitlyn Cortez won Best in Show for her graphite piece titled “Sweetie.”
First place was awarded to sophomore Carmela Baray for her graphite drawing titled “Big Time.”
Second place was awarded to freshman Elizabeth Olech for “Leaf,” and Brian Sponaugle took third place for his marker piece “The Word.”
Honorable mentions were awarded to freshmen Rahul Patel, Chandler Vanderslice and Ella Rishko; sophomore Julie Heffernan; and junior Kaitlyn Cortez.
Noted Delaware artist Bill Patterson judged the exhibition. He was impressed by the students’ use of value, shading and texture.
