Milton Arts Guild sets beach-themed cigar boxes class April 22

Milton Arts Guild will offer a beach-themed cigar boxes class with multimedia artist Ginny Barney from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 22, at Studios on Walnut, 310 Walnut St., Milton.

Barney will walk students through the process of transforming a plain cigar box into a special piece of art using specialty beach-themed papers, as well as other embellishments like decorative knobs and feet. All materials for the class will be provided, but students should bring their own scissors, ruler and pencil.

Barney is a  self-taught artist focusing on decorative boxes and one-of-a-kind, personalized journals. Her work has been sold at the Biggs Museum in Dover, Rehoboth Art League, Milton Arts Guild and in various shows.
