Milton Arts Guild summer art program to run online July 13-15

June 4, 2021

Milton Arts Guild will hold Young at Heart summer virtual art workshops, a series of five two-hour, Zoom-based virtual classes for youth aged 8 to 98, from Tuesday, July 13 to Thursday, July 15.

The classes are aimed at giving budding artists of any age a chance for a creative outlet this summer.

“We want to provide young people and the young-at-heart an opportunity for affordable, fun structured time,” said Lynda Rae Gannon, vice president of MAG’s board of directors. “And, children who are visiting the beaches this summer can always invite their grandparents to join in, too!”

Tattered Boardwalk with Barbara Buford is set for 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday, July 13.

Doodling Under the Sea with Lynda Rae Gannon will be held from 1 to 3 p.m.,  July 13.

Dollar Bill Origami with Sue Dutton will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, July 14.

Nature Printing with Kathy Fessenbecker will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday, July 15.

Robots and Monsters Doodling Characters with Lynda Gannon will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., July 15.

“Because many people – most notably children under 16 – are not yet vaccinated against COVID, we’re responding to families who are looking for multigenerational activities this summer where children can interact safely with one another and with the older people in their lives,” Gannon said. “These classes provide families with options that are safe and easy and fun!”

All classes are $15 each. To register for classes and view the supply lists, go to miltonartsguild.org.
