The Milton Community Foundation is dedicated to supporting students in the local community. One of its main priorities is to ensure that every student has the resources they need to succeed, especially as they prepare for important milestones like graduation.
Every year, the Milton Community Foundation raises funds for the Noble Prettyman Cap and Gown Fund, which provides financial assistance to Cape Henlopen High School seniors in need, helping them obtain the required caps and gowns for their graduation ceremony. Prettyman was a longtime school board member who cared deeply about providing equal educational opportunities for all students. Although the initiative primarily focuses on seniors from Milton, the generosity of supporters has consistently enabled MCF to extend assistance to students from other areas as well.
In addition to providing caps and gowns, MCF also helps cover the cost of yearbooks and student accounts for those who need financial support. These efforts ensure that all students can fully participate in and celebrate their achievements.
Anyone who would like to contribute may do so online at miltoncommunityfoundation.org or send a donation to Milton Community Foundation, PO Box 12, Milton, DE 19968, with “Cap and Gown” in the note field.
