The Milton Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary hosted its annual all-you-can-eat crab feast Aug. 28. The sold-out event was held in the recently renovated Milton Fire Department’s second-floor hall. The cost was $50 per person, which included crabs, corn, hot dogs, burgers, fried chicken, beer and soda.

Near the end of the three-hour crab eat, and with a big smile, Auxiliary President Mary Ann Warrington said there were 29 bushels of crabs ordered for the event, and they ran out of chicken.

Joyce and Lester Beebe were still picking crabs with less than an hour left. In between bites, Joyce accurately summed up the consensus among those in attendance when she said, “This is delicious. This is my kind of food.”
