Milton holds first Easter Sunrise Service

As the sun rises, the Rev. Suzanne Schwarz of Safe Harbor UCC delivers her sermon titled "Living the Resurrection." Speaking of the disciples at the resurrection, she said, "Some rush in, some not quite sure." She said that all are Christ's disciples. Schwarz went on to say, "When the Good Shepherd calls your name, confusion becomes clarity." BY STEVEN BILLUPS

Milton-area churches came together for the first Easter Sunday Sunrise Service in Memorial Park April 5. Working together to produce the service were Goshen UMC, Mt. Zion Church, Bethel AME, Safe Harbor UCC, The Water's Edge Wesleyan, Grace Church and Harrison UMC. About 100 people gathered to worship, sing and pray in the chilly morning air. The sermon was delivered by the Rev. Suzanne Schwarz, minister at Safe Harbor United Church of Christ.
