Milton printmaking studio and sculpture gallery to host open house Sept. 21
Artists Roy Fitzgerald and Mark Harris will host an open house from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Studios on Walnut Street, 310 Walnut St. in Milton.
Wood sculpture artist Fitzgerald has on display in his gallery a wide range of his carvings, from bowls to free-standing abstract works. Fitzgerald has received wide recognition for his artistic use of wood in ways both playful and profound, utilitarian and delightful.
His work has been on display at the Rehoboth Art League and other venues and has received critical acclaim in several shows.
Harris has his printmaking studio at the Studios on Walnut Street and has shown his relief prints, etchings and other printmaking efforts in shows in Milford, Milton and Rehoboth.
This open house provides an opportunity to see his work in process. Harris was part of the Printmakers Workshop at the Rehoboth Art League. This fall he will be artist in residence at the Ecole Nationale des Arts d'Haiti in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. His work primarily concerns images of entropy and hope.
Refreshments will be served. For further information, call 302-983-2759.
