September 26, 2019

The Udderly Fun Mooo Run 5K Sept. 22 at Hopkins Creamery doesn’t draw numbers like the Dogfish Dash 8K the following week, but then again there is no branding of cattle, unlike craft beer.

Mike Sewell ran through the dust and methane gas to an overall win in 19:40. Katie Kuhlman was the overall women’s winner in 22:42.

John Yanacek, a clydesdale but not a cow, was the masters winner in 24:25. Maureen Pinkerton was the female masters winner in 25:38.

Twenty-one of the 85 runners were under 16 years old. Ethan Thompson, 9, won the 9-and-under in 23:51, while Alison Ortiz, 9, won the female 9-and-under in 29:22.

Mason Morrone, 13, was first in the 10-13 age group and second overall in the race with a time of 20:49.  Aubrie Myers, 13, won the female 10-13 in 27:01.

Ryan Baker, 14, was the winner in 14-19 age group in 23:11. Sydney Mundok, 16, was the female 14-19 winner in 30:13.
