More trees cleared for Minos Conaway project

As prep work for the Minos Conaway Road project continues on the west side of Route 1, crews have now started on the east side. Over the last week, all the trees between Route 1, Nassau Road and the Lewes-to-Georgetown Trail north of Lewes have been cleared. The area will eventually be the site of a stormwater pond. The result of the last few weeks of work has completely changed the viewscape for drivers in the area.
The project site will continue to transform over the next few years, as roads are constructed in the area around Minos Conaway Road and the Nassau Bridge.
