N. Pat Perron, had adventurous spirit
Trish Perron, 92, of Lewes, departed this world surrounded by the warmth of loved ones Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, tenacity, and cherished memories.
Trish was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Boston, Mass., graduated from Jamaica Plain High School in 1949, and married the love of her life, Al, in 1951. With Al, she shared rich experiences, resilience, and unconditional love, and her passion carried her through both the storms and splendors of life. From Boston to Pennsylvania, to Virginia, New Jersey, South Carolina and Florida, with the loss of her husband, she landed in Lewes in 2008, preserving family relationships and special friendships along the way.
Trish had a fierce sense of independence and through St. Jude of the Apostles and local women’s and senior groups, she was blessed to gain even more treasured friendships. She was always put together and had an adventurous spirit. Family affectionately called her our Energizer Bunny because she ran circles around all of us and kept going and going! Trish spent many years reading a few times each week to elementary children in Milton, and she cherished over 12 years as a volunteer in the gift shop at Beebe Medical Center. She loved to travel, shop, go to the beach, listen to music, dance (no matter where she was), and never wanted to miss out on fun and exciting times with her family and friends. Friends and family know she was true to one of her and Al’s mottos as she continued to love her happy hour cosmo or a single glass of wine while proclaiming, “It’s five o’clock somewhere!”
Trish spoke endlessly of her family and friends, recounting fond memories of her world travels and boating days, relishing her journeys around the globe to be with her daughter Michele and family, retelling stories of her visits and calls with her son, and reliving her trips to Maine to be with her brother and her niece and family. She even appreciated the 15 years of escapades and chaos living with her daughter, Janis, and her family. It may have driven her crazy, but she missed it when she was away.
Trish was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, Albert G.; her joy-filled special daughter, Susan Perron; and her parents, Norman Joseph and G. Cecile Boudreau Landry. She is survived by her daughters, Janis (Stephen Pratt) Hanwell of Lewes, and Michele (Rod) Falvey of Lakeland, Fla.; her son Albert J. of Arcadia, Fla.; her grandchildren, Elise Hanwell and partner Rick Floyd, Chelsea (Chris) Rosario, Katherine (Kyle) Hart, and Dane Pratt; her great-grandchildren, Donovan, Myla, and Stella Hanwell, and Evangeline and Eleanor Rosario; her brother, Ronald (Flo) Landry; her niece, Laurie (Mark) Marsters and their three daughters Meghan (Quinton) Moore and family, Emily, and Grace; niece, Denise (Buckie) Tierney; and nephew, Frank Aprille and his daughter Stephanie. Trish also leaves behind many caring friends she thought of as part of her family, and her spirit will continue to live on in all our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 18, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where friends and family may visit beginning at 2 p.m.
All unable to attend in person are invited to join the service via livestream by visiting: parsellfuneralhomes.com/obituaries/permalink/11244040/LTWebcast.
