Natalie Overman Ealey, passionate gardener

February 1, 2016

Natalie Overman Ealey, 94, of Lewes, died suddenly Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, two days after her 94th birthday. Natalie (Lee) and her husband, Phil, were inseparable. They spent each day loving and caring for each other, and exploring the Cape Region together.

Lee has four children with her first husband, John Overman: Ann Overman Render and Terrence Render live in Hilliard, Ohio. Paul Overman lives in Harbeson. Nancy Overman Williams and Jeff live in Lewes, and John Overman and Mindy live in Derwood, Md. Lee has 11 grandchildren; Marty, Katy, Michael, Sarah, John, Nate, Rebecca, James, Anna, Laura and Jessie. She has four great-grandchildren and stepchildren. She loved and supported them all.

Lee lived her life in high gear! She didn't know the meaning of "take a break," and we all struggled to keep up with her until the day she died. She was a skilled and passionate gardener. Lee weeded her way up many a sidewalk, no matter where she was! Lee served God working in many ways at St. Jude The Apostle Church.

The Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m., at St. Jude's The Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Letters of condolence may be sent and guestbook signed at www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com. Professional services entrusted to Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Milford.
