Nature photography workshops set Sept. 6 at Prime Hook
The Friends of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge will host two nature photography workshops Saturday, Sept. 6, at 12322 Turkle Pond Road, Milton.
Designed for beginning and intermediate photographers with DSLR or mirrorless cameras, Bird Photography 101 with Ed Norman is set for 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Topics include what equipment to use, the best settings for exposure and autofocus, where to find birds, field techniques and the ethics of bird photography. Space is limited to 20 people, and there will be a waiting list.
Judging Wildlife Photography will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Seasoned photographers/judges Warren Bouton, Deb Payette and Ed Norman will discuss the criteria they'll be using when sorting through the numerous entries for this year's Friends photo contest. Attendees will learn about what makes a winning photo and how to improve their images.
