Nelson P. Warren, retired supervisor

Nelson P. Warren, 78, of Georgetown passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at home. 

  Nelson was born in Milford, the son of the late Nelson and Elsie Mae (Smith) Warren.

  Nelson retired after 17 years of service as a major in the Delaware National Guard. 

  He was a supervisor at DuPont in Seaford, retiring in 1989.  He was a former Georgetown Town Councilman.   He was a member of Wesley U.M. Church, American Legion in Georgetown, Masonic Lodge in Georgetown, International Order of Redmen, Kiwanis, and the Georgetown Historical Society. 

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Nelson Warren Jr.; and two grandchildren, Abigail and Bethany.

  He is survived by his wife Martha (Ivens) Warren; children, Robert Warren and Thomas (Elizabeth) Warren, all of Georgetown; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

  Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
