Network Connect partners with House of David in Milford
Continuing to invest in community-driven wellness, stability and empowerment programs, Network Connect, a Delaware-based nonprofit, has launched a new partnership with the House of David in downtown Milford.
Through this collaboration, Network Connect will provide trained community well-being ambassadors on-site at the House of David multiple days each week. The collaboration will bring relationship-centered, wraparound support directly into a trusted community hub, increasing access to wellness services, economic empowerment resources and coordinated care.
CWAs are certified community health workers who provide mental health and substance use support, positive activities, resource navigation and essential needs assistance.
Known for its people-centered approach that goes beyond crisis response, the House of David has long been recognized as a cornerstone organization in Milford. Its programs provide practical resources, stabilization support and pathways to independence, including connections to transportation, employment opportunities and essential services that promote long-term stability. As a host site, the House of David offers an ideal environment for Network Connect’s embedded support model to thrive.
“At Network Connect, we invest in communities where strong culture, trusted relationships and real impact are already taking root,” said Cierra Hall-Hipkins, executive director of Network Connect. “This host site partnership allows us to deepen our presence; by embedding community well-being ambassadors alongside the House of David, we are building capacity for the trusted work already happening in downtown Milford, while expanding access to wellness-focused, preventative support.”
Since 2022, Network Connect’s community well-being ambassadors have supported more than 1,500 individuals across Sussex and Kent counties by partnering with trusted host sites such as Delaware State University, Restoration Church of Seaford, Cornerstone Community Center and the Food Bank of Delaware in Milford. The House of David now joins this network as the newest host site, extending Network Connect’s proven model into the heart of downtown Milford.
“The House of David has always believed in serving the whole person with dignity, compassion and action,” said Pastor David Shockey, House of David executive director. “Partnering with Network Connect enhances our capacity to meet community needs proactively and holistically while staying rooted in the values that guide our work.”
This partnership is expected to generate positive ripple effects throughout downtown Milford, strengthening the local support ecosystem and reinforcing a shared commitment to prevention, healing and community resilience. Together, Network Connect, the House of David and other CWA host sites are advancing a model of collaboration that not only meets immediate needs but also empowers individuals and families to move forward with stability, purpose and hope.
