New logo unveiled for Zwaanendael Women's Club

January 20, 2018

The GFWC Zwaanendael Women's Club of Lewes recently introduced its new logo. The design was accepted by the membership at the December meeting. The new logo will be used on all future club materials.

Club member Tracy Zigman designed the new logo to mirror the General Federation of Women's Clubs logo. It includes the GFWC rose intertwined with the club's tulip, and features the club's namesake swan. Club Treasurer Eva Dupont provided additional artwork.

Zwaanendael, archaic Dutch for "swan dale [or valley]," was the name of the first European settlement in Delaware, which was founded by the Dutch in 1631 and later became the town of Lewes.
