Cape Gazette offices closed July 5
The Cape Gazette business offices will be closed Friday, July 5. Classified advertising deadline will be noon, Thursday, July 4, for the Tuesday, July 9 edition. All other advertising and news release deadlines remain the same.

Dewey marketing committee meets July 5
The Dewey Beach marketing committee will meet at 4 p.m., Friday, July 5, at the Lifesaving Station, 1 Dagsworthy Ave. Members will discuss and possibly vote to determine if the approved Facebook page will be using the current town Facebook page. Members will discuss content and layout of the town Facebook page, determine proposed postings, and discuss steps to license and monetize the town tagline “Way of Life.”

Milton offices to close July 4
Milton administrative offices will be closed Thursday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.  Town Hall will reopen Friday, July 5.

Milton to celebrate July 4 in the park
Milton will host the annual Bring Mayberry Back to Milton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, July 4, in Milton Memorial Park. 
The event, sponsored by Irish Eyes, will feature a dunk tank, pie-baking contest, train rides, relay and sack races, and chess matches. There will be a bike-decorating contest and a bike parade at 11 a.m. The winners of the bike-decorating contest will receive two new bikes, one for best boy and one for best girl. Rehoboth law oversight committee to meet July 3
The Rehoboth Beach Law Oversight Committee has scheduled a meeting for 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, in the commissioners room of city hall, 229 Rehoboth Ave. The agenda calls for a discussion on converting criminal sanctions of the zoning code to civil penalties and a continued discussion of the city’s tree ordinance.
