Section of Munchy Branch to close
A portion of Munchy Branch Road near Rehoboth Beach will be closed to complete a sewer tie-in for McKinney’s Grove. The section between Delpany Street and Field Lane will close from 8 a.m, Monday, Nov. 9, until 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 13, pending weather conditions.
Detour routes include Munchy Branch from Wolf Neck Road go south on Wolf Neck Road and turn left to Route 1 southbound and turn left to Munchy Branch Road.
Munchy Branch Road from Route 1 continue straight onto Route 1 northbound and turn right on Wolf Neck Road then turn right to return to Munchy Branch Road.
Detour signage will be posted along the route.
Lewes Board of Public Works meets Nov. 4
The Lewes Board of Public Works will meet virtually at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4. The board will consider a resolution authorizing the general manager to transfer funds to purchase the Jones Farm property at the corner of Kings Highway and Clay Road. They will also discuss easements for utility development along Savannah Road and the impact of the capital project plan and Cedar Avenue water/sewer project on the financial health of the BPW. Lewes City Hall, BPW closed Nov. 3
Lewes City Hall and the Lewes Board of Public Works will be closed Tuesday, Nov. 3, for Election Day. Offices will reopen Wednesday, Nov. 4. Because Return Day festivities are scaled back due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Lewes offices will be open Thursday, Nov. 5.
Lewes BoA meeting set Nov. 4
Lewes Board of Adjustment will meet virtually at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4, to discuss amendments to the BOA application and rules governing hearings to address beneficial-use appeals. A link to the meeting can be found at lewes.civicweb.net.
Lewes historic preservation to meet

Lewes sea-level rise subcommittee to meet
The Lewes Planning Commission’s Sea-Level Rise Subcommittee will meet virtually at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, to continue discussion on a sea-level rise ordinance for the city. A link to the meeting can be found at lewes.civicweb.net.
Lewes Beach Parking Committee to meet
The Lewes Beach Parking Committee will meet virtually at 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5. The group will continue to discuss right-of-way encroachments on streets running between Cedar Street and Bay Avenue from the Lewes Yacht Club to Savannah Road. Dewey commissioners to hold public hearing
Dewey Beach commissioners will hold a virtual meeting and public hearing at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6.
A public hearing and possible vote will be held to amend town code by adding a new section relating to wireless facilities.

Rehoboth considering holiday display policy
Rehoboth Beach commissioners have scheduled a special virtual meeting for 10:30 a.m, Thursday, Nov. 5. The agenda calls for a potential vote on a holiday display policy and the purchase of additional holiday displays by the city.
